Infectious Disease Assay Development: Senior Scientist

Immunetics has recently been funded for development of new tests for pathogens in blood and blood products.

The Product Development Group is looking for a well-qualified candidate to contribute to the development of novel infectious disease immunoassays. Responsibilities will include immunoassay development and validation in various formats, documentation and product transfer, and clinical studies for regulatory submission. You will also work with QA and regulatory personnel to ensure product compliance. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in biochemistry or other life science field and be well versed in biochemistry, immunochemistry, infectious diseases and microbiology. Your credentials should include significant assay development experience in the field of in vitro diagnostics, especially for infectious diseases. At least 5 years work experience including experience in a cGMP environment is required. Familiarity with ELISA and Western Blot assays, conjugation techniques, purification and characterization, biochemical assays, pathogen biochemistry, immunological and microbiological methods is desirable. Strong laboratory and organizational skills, capability for independent problem-solving as well as teamwork, and excellent communication skills are essential. Technology transfer experience would be a plus.
